Comments:

Hey all, I built my first Hackintosh and to be honest I am a very impressed with the results!
I built this machine with thoughts on video editing, studying and 1080p ultra gaming (maybe later 1440p).
My whole journey to Hackintoshing didn't go that well...
First, I had to deal with a stuck apple logo, then I had to deal with freezing issues, but I found a solution for all that :D!

I was in for a new computer and decided to build a Hackintosh.
I tried to get my laptop run Mac OS X first, so I would kind of get a quick introduction, but this didn't want to work.
Finally, I decided to replace my laptop, so I knew I had to deal with creating a machine that's worth the money.
The machine should be usable for a good amount of years, otherwise all the spent money would be wasted.
When it came to choosing my hardware, I had a pretty hard time, even though I am a hardware gig!
I knew I wanted performance and compatibility, so choosing for a Gigabyte motherboard, an Intel CPU and a Nvidia GPU
were almost no-brainers when it came to performance and compatibility.

I still haven't installed the GPU because it is still being shipped, but once it arrives I will tell you about my progress and
I will make a guide on how I got it to work.

Installation:

Unibeast:

For the UniBeast drive, I went with the Yosemite Desktop Guide.
Link: UniBeast: Install OS X Yosemite on Any Supported Intel-based PC

Bios settings:

Before you start, load 'Optimized Defaults', to prevent unwanted issues and settings.

What I chose:

Intel Display Output - IGFX
Vt-d - Disabled
Intel Virtualization - Disabled
XHCI Mode - Auto
XHCI hand off - Enabled
EHCI hand off - Enabled

Installer:

For reaching the installer, I used the following boot flags (I almost know for sure that there is one bootflag which is not
needed, but to be sure that the machine will work and boot properly, I used them all):
npci=3000, PCIRootUID, -x, maxmem=8192 and GraphicsEnabler=Yes
After you have reached the installer screen, you can set up your Hackintosh just as how you like it and complete the
OS X Yosemite setup.

Multibeast:

Quick Start: Select ''DSDT Free''

Drivers:
Audio: Select ''Realtek ALC1150'' under ''Realtek ALCxxx'' and select ''Audio ID:1'' under
''Realtek ALCxxx'' → ''Optional HDAEnabler''.
Disk: For TRIM, select ''10.10.3 TRIM Patch'' under ''Disk'' → ''Trim Enabler''.
Misc: Select ''USB 3.0 - Universal''.
Network: Simply leave this out, because the adapter that we are using is automatically recognized.
System: Select ''AppleRTC Patch for CMOS Reset''.

Customize:
Boot Options: Select ''1080p Display Mode'', ''Hibernate Mode - Desktop'', ''GraphicsEnabler=Yes'' and ''PCI Root ID Fix''.
System Definition: Select iMac 14.2, because this fits this system the best.

Lag:

During the use of my Hackintosh, I experienced a slight and annoying lag. I have writte a guide on how to stop this.

Congratulations you have successfully installed OS X Yosemite!

What your version bios? Thanks!

Great build! I recently updated my mobo to Z97X-Gaming 5. I'm running Clover and can't get ethernet to work. I have tried with and without an ethernet kext. I probably should try Multibeast...
