pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Thanks for your post, it makes me happy

My EFI has SIP disabled, otherwise you wouldn't be able to install the OCLP patches.

At this point, I recommend a clean install, no need to do an NVRAM reset.
  • BIOS v. 3005
  • Ai Tweaker/Ai Overclock Tuner - XMP
  • Advanced/CPU Configuration/Intel Virtualization Technology - Enabled
  • Advanced/System Agent (SA) Configuration/VT-d - Enabled
  • Advanced/System Agent (SA) Configuration/Above 4G Decoding - Enabled
  • Advanced/System Agent (SA) Configuration/Graphics Configuration/Primary Display - PCIE or AUTO
  • Advanced/System Agent (SA) Configuration/Graphics Configuration/iGPU Multi-Monitor - Disabled
  • Advanced/USB Configuration/Legacy USB Support - Enabled
  • Advanced/USB Configuration/USB Keyboard and Mouse Simulator - Disabled
  • Boot/CSM - Enabled
  • Boot/Secure Boot/ OS Type - Other OS
  1. install Sonoma with my EFI from a thumb-drive
  2. Launch OCLP and apply patch.
  3. Reboot.
  4. Done.
I hope it can help you.
thanks for your prompt response!

I'm now running BIOS v. 3005

Unfortunatley, I'm still getting the same issue (wifi icon goes solid at login, then a "!" mark appears on top of it).
It must be something only the BCM4352 card has/hasn't?

I'll do some more searching, but it looks like I might be rolling back to Monterey.

Once again, thanks for all your help!

If you are using BCM94352, you will need additional kexts. You need to add AirportBrcmFixup. Add them in the following order. Any other order will not work. You will probably also need BrcmPatchRAM for Bluetooth to work...

*Note: The IOSkywalkFamily stuff is installed by OCLP.

thanks @pastrychef.

Unfortunately, I'm still tinkering away (good news is with the new Opencore, my Linux and Windows drives now work great with the Bootpicker - no more smashing F2!)

I've done it in this order:

1.Install Sonoma
2.Run OCLP, then restart
3.Setup Kexts in this order (I have downloaded the latest ones from the links in your previous post)Is BlueToolFixup the final kext? I have no idea what to do with ECM-Overide???

With this update WIFI still doesn't work, and booting into Sonoma takes a while (it seems to keep trying
"AppleKeyStore:12139:142 operation failed (sel: 7ret: e0002f0,-1)"

I have attached my Monterey EFI to show the difference:

Once again, any pointers are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Try with snoopy69's EFI and add the AirportBrcmFixup stuff to it.

Hi guys. I've just made a clean install of Sonoma 14.1.2 using the snoopy EFI.
Everything seems to work properly except for the USB. when I plug an external HD or SSD the system doesn't mount the external drives. Any suggestion?

Are the drives seen in System Information > USB?

I see the scanner, the hub, the printer but the ssd or hdd in is not shown

Weird... Might it be a power issue? As in, the drives are not getting enough power?

I've changed the USBPorts.kext with the one I used in Ventura. Now it works.
Thanks a lot guy!!!

Anyone can help me with WiFi? It not works
