That’s understandable, that’s what I thought as well.
I had the pleasure of testing a iMac Pro for a few days and noticed that when having a Ethernet cable connected to the 10Gbe port, the iMac Pro would keep waking up from sleep every few minutes, ultimately making the machine very warm to touch.
After setting the network order in network preferences so my 10Gbe card in my hack is first with the i219v second and then wifi 3rd, my hackintosh keeps waking up from sleep every few minutes. I am certain this is a bug as this is exactly what is happening on the real iMac Pro, with disconnecting the Ethernet cable to the 10Gbe card the only solution to stop these constant wakes.
EDIT: I’m still doing some testing regarding which interface and what is causing the wakes.
What is your network "Service Order", do you have all 3 adapters connected at once?
Do you experience the same bug with your 10Gbe card?
I noticed the same thing with my GC-AQC107 when it was connected to my 10GBase-T switch. As a workaround, instead of connecting it to the switch, I connected it directly to my NAS and it not longer had the instant wakes. Initially, I thought that the instant wakes were due to my cheap 10GBase-T switch...
Since the release of macOS 10.13.4, I swapped out the GC-AQC107 for an Intel X540-T2 because the patch to get the AQC107 working with 10.13.4 hadn't been released yet. The X540-T2 doesn't suffer from this instant wake issue when connected to the switch. Since the X540-T2 has been working flawlessly, I haven't bothered to put the AQC107 back in. Also, I noticed that the X540-T2 is a bit faster than the AQC107 maxing out at about 1000MB/s vs about 800MB/s according to Blackmagic Disk Speed Test.
All along, I had the i219v first in the service order, 10GBase-T second, and Wi-Fi last. I only changed the order about 3 weeks ago to have 10GBase-T first, i219v second, and Wi-Fi last. From my testing, service order didn't have any affect on the instant wake. I only changed it because I use an app called AutoMounter to mount shares from my NAS and having 10GBase-T first allows it to use that connection.
