on vega... 9900k have a new igpu ... same like 33b40000...

I don't see how changing CPU can affect the Vega...

If you think the IGPU id is the problem, you can try spoofing Kaby Lake or Coffee Lake.
 
Is it possible that the iMacPro 1,1 definition is causing the loss? What if you shifted back to imac 18,3, say, as a test?
 
Just for grins, I just checked my 9900K on my Z370, and VDADecoderChecker reported Hardware Acceleration fully enabled, and a BruceX test gave me roughly similar results compared with my previous 8700K. Test output was very much the same (FCPX 10.4.4). My mac def is 18,3.
 
You have it, or you can easily get it. It's the first post of this thread. I changed nothing (well, almost - had to adjust the USB stuff).

How is the i9-9900K IGPU identified in IORegistryExplorer?

I try any trick what I know. Dont work. Reinstall 14.0,if no ideeas

How are you testing for acceleration? What results are you getting from Geekbench Compute benchmarks?
