Hi,
I've read countless sucess stories for P67 boards on here but my ML install won't boot. I can get up to step 4.4 in the 10.8 installation guide:
1. Turn on the computer
2. Press the hotkey to choose boot device
If you have a Gigabyte motherboard press F12
If you have a ASUS motherboard, press F8
3. Choose USB-HDD
4. At the Chimera Boot Screen, choose your new Mountain Lion installation.
Mountain lion installs just fine but when i reboot the system and boot from the USB again, this time selecting the drive i just installed it on, the apple screen comes up and hangs. Verbose mode reports:
USBMSC Identifier (non-unique): 152D203380B6 0x7ab 0xfc86 0x0
I've updated my BIOS, tried -x, GraphicsEnabler=No and PCIRootUID=0 but i still see the same thing every time i try to boot. I did install this over a 10.6.8 install i'd been running for a while.
Can anyone help or provide any suggestions?
Thanks
