10.8.2->10.8.3 Complete success. i5-2500k, GA-Z68xp-ud4 UEFI bios set per Tonymac86 guide. 5770 video, 4mb, SSD OS/Programs, 3x650GB Seagate HD - Data

1) Download combo - Update - Reboot.
2) With UEFI bios ---> Multibeast -->reset 889 audio only (Note: Check Customization if not using default Mac Pro 3.1) (Multibeast 5.2.1 SSD trim did not re-activate!)
3) Downloaded ChameleonSSDOptimiser to re-enable trim. (reset permissions, turn off all other switches - read Chameleon fac for details)
4) Reboot. Marcel Bresink's Temperature Montior did not load details: use Multibeast --> reset Miscellaneous/FakeSMC/Plugins (the three for extended temp info).
5) Reboot. Trim working, Temp extended data working, sleep working, P-states working.

Note: Migration path from 10.7.5: UEFI first!! then store 10.8.2 (very simple, but double check threads here for notes!!!), then 10.8.3.

Article: OS X 10.8.3 Update

I updated through Appstore (damn, should have read this thread first). I get a hang when booting up (even with -x -f):

"Debugger called: </SourceCache/GraphicsDrivers/GraphicsDriver-8.10.44/Common/IONDRV/Intel/IVB/AppleIntelFramebuffer/AppleIntelController.cpp:12351 Assertion failed: (0 == i) || ((pfbInfo->rangeStolen.phyBase - pfbInfoPrev->rangeSt

I have a Z77X-UP5TH with a Nvidia GTX 680 card defined as a iMac late 2012. I've disabled the internal HD4000. Same crash with it enabled.

Any clues?

I'm getting this too. It looks to be related to Ivy Bridge graphics, but it happens with and without HD4000 disabled.

I have an i7-3770k, ASUS sabertooth Z77, and EVGA 670....

Anyone else experiencing this or know how to fix it?

BTW, I used the combo update. Everything worked perfect on 10.8.2.

Greetings, used combo update, my GPU [0x68f9]--> (Asus EAH5450 Silent DI/512MD3) is not recognized, although I copied over my edited AMDRadeonaccelerator.kext and ATI5000Controller.kext that worked perfectly in 10.8.2. Any thoughts?

Updated directly from AppStore, didn't need to reinstall anything at all, and surprisingly everything is working fine as it was before.

Article: OS X 10.8.3 Update

After update using the combo package, I'm stuck on the boot screen. As you can see in the pictures. I have GTX 285, it worked on 10.8.2.

For the moment I plug out my GTX 285, and I'm using HD 4000, no problem with this.

How can I fix this problem?

Thank you for your help

EDIT: I fix my problem by installing 10.8.3 using unibeast. Then disable my internal graphic in BIOS, after I boot normally I restart again and changed the igfx to enable and everything booting ok again.

Hello everyone...

I am using GTX 660 on GA-H77M-D2H coupled with Core i3 3220(HD 2500). At present, my card is working well. But I am eager to install combo update(10.8.3). I was wondering is there any modification in existing kexts would be required? I have installed CUDA drivers from nVidia website. Nothing else is modified or installed in order to get it work. Do I need to remove any kexts before or after installing this new update?

Please revert back.

Reinstalled w/new Multibeast v., updated, reinstalled audio and it works great.

Updated my hackintosh this morning, through the software update (not through the combo update). Upon rebooting, no kernel panic so that is great. Sound did not work, but through MultiBeast I installed the audio back.
