Fresh installed Yosemite 10.10.3 without graphics card following Clover installation guide here.

Update sound driver ALC892, Realtek81xx network, hwmonitor w multibeast

Plug in R9-280X display card

Solve output sound headphone no sound with Toleda guide

App store and imessage couldn't log in. Network card was en1 en2. Solved by remove bluetooth and all network entries and added again ethernet as en0.

Enable trim for SSD with help from this thread by adding an entry in Clover.

Everything seems working.

Install the latest NVIDIA web driver from the link below and switch from the "OS X Default Graphics Driver" to "NVIDIA Web Driver".

Just installed 10.10.3 with Clover, managed to get everything working on iMac 15,1 Retina 5K (using Clover Configurator) although I have to use nv_disable=1 to boot, otherwise I see the apple boot logo and then after that it says no signal.Do I need to install the correct graphics drivers? I'm using FakeSMC.kext and AppleIntelE1000e.kext in my EFI partition. Any advice would be great, thanks!

kylerphillip, did you see the post before your post? BTW, we don't recommend the iMac 15,1 System Definition as we've noticed that 15,1 causes problems; recommend iMac 14,2 SysDef if you're using a graphics card or MacPro3,1.

The first couple times running the 10.10.3 update installer (I used the download and not the apps store), I had some strangeness.

First time when the system rebooted the screen went black and only showed a mouse pointer. Power cycle restart, and tried again. This time it restarted and showed the box with the progress bar as it should do, but the progress bar did not move. Left it for hours.

Then power cycled and decided to try one more time, before moving to a reinstall. When the system rebooted and was coming up again, saw the glimpse of a progress bar as OS X came up.

It is has now finally and successfully upgraded to 10.10.3 and all new stuff is there and seems to be working fine. I have been using the system for a few days now and haven't noticed anything unusual.

Very odd experience. No idea what I did or didn't do. System is set up as RAID 1, not sure if that has any bearing on the experience I had.

As they say, "Alls well that ends well", however, will have to see when the next big update happens!

i installed 10.10.3 have a Nvidia card ans Macpro 6.1

I restarted after update with -v and nv_disable=1

but I stuck on Login Screen. I give the password and he Stuck with the Beachball ..

any ideas ???

Macpro 3,1 causes kernal panic ...

Getting random reboots after installing 10.10.3. Oddly enough had no problems before it and I am not using the Nvidia Web Drivers - perhaps I should starting using them?

This is bizarre -

Gigabyte B75M-D3H with nVidia 660GTX working well-

BUT I can't install Chimera - only boot off the usb.

Is it because I dual boot my system from two hds? one has win 7 and the other osx.

booting chimera off the usb lets me boot right into the system... from the hd ... no way.

Any pointers?

As I thought.

If I disconnect the Windows 7 SSD, it boots fine off the hd. If I connect the Windows7, chimera crashes on boot - but will boot from the USB chimera boot....

What is happening? any pointers??
