Is it safer to download the combo update or do it from the appstore/system upgrade?

Couldn't find combo so just used app store update for my Asus P7P55D (using clover now). No problems, only trim patch need.

Hello!

Everything works fine so far.
I Downloaded the Yosemite 10.10.1 Update from the link above (from Tonymacx86).
I installed it. et voila! running now 10.10.1

ps: I also have the "Errors encountered while starting the computer, pausing 5 seconds. message. But the message disappears and the Hackintosch boots up fine.

On a clover 3021 version hybrid install (meaning used Multibeat 7.02 to install sound and trim drivers). Updated to 10.10.1 using standalone installer (software update was moving at a snails pace). Rebooted, and lost trim and sound. Reinstalled trim and sound from Multibeast 7.02. All is well!

A tip, with clover just hotpatch trim, one less thing to break/refix every update

If you use Clover Configurator you can follow this steps:
go to Kernel and Kext Patches add a new row
in name put IOAHCIBlockStorage
in find hex put 004150504C452053534400
in replace hex put 0000000000000000000000
in comment you can write what you want (a description for example)
in InfoPlistPatch leave it as is (unchecked)
Save and reboot.

Just updated without issues on my GA-Z87MX-D3H system using the App store. I'm using Clover build v2953 as the bootloader and Multibeast for audio (ALC892) and Trim support. One day I'll get off my lazy arse and configure Clover to patch Trim / Audio automatically. iMessage support continues to work flawlessly after the update to 10.10.1, although I did have to re-login to iCloud upon first boot.
