sadly i was expecting that. I have no choice but to use Voodoo and accept the noisy sound and a KP's from tme to time... Next time I pick a more popular mobo, I guess

Use an external usb sound card and usb headsets. That's the best option imo.

Okay, I give up on the whole Sony system and sold mine since I could not figure out what you were talking about. Do you have a recommendation for a decent surround sound system that will work with the Z68X-UD3H-B3? VLC did not work with the other sound system and I was wondering if there was other sound systems that it would work with and if there were other things besides just VLC that worked with this motherboard with surround system, like games and other software also.
