First time with OpenCore wanted to attempt a Z590 build with 10th gen Intel. Keep getting the prohibited sign and now after weeding out a few kexts I’m hung up here. And suggestions?

Use the forum Search tool to look for 'still waiting for root device' or 'prohibitory symbol'.

Tried many different things. Seems to be hung on this
I think the problem stems from the fact that you are using a Z590 on a 10th gen Comet Lake chip (instead of 11th), and added to that you are trying to boot Catalina while most of the builds of Z590 that I know available currently are working mostly with Monterey. The 2nd build I suggested to you earlier seems to only be able to run on Monterey.
Unless you are running Monterey, you may find some difficulty running the above EFI because not many people have adapted the system for Catalina. One of the main issues is that earlier versions of Opencore are more compatible with Catalina (up to 0.6.5) which is what I built my Z490 Aorus Xtreme on.

Okay some suggestions. With the 1st thread (using my Z490 build which I think is your best bet to get it going) I would suggest try to boot with the Catalina EFI version. The EFI works totally with Comet Lake under Catalina, but you need to adjust it for your AMD card. You'll need to first remove the Nvidia's dGPU PCIRoot values under Device Properties in the EFI and replace it with one for the AMD. The values would need to be like this (shown using Opencore Configurator):

As your CPU's is a i9-10850K (9BC5 on Intel's Ark specs page), you'll need to change the Intel IGPU value to these:

Then you need add agdpmod=pikera in the NVRAM boot-arg to enable your RX5700XT card. You will also need to add -no_compat_check in the boot-arg to help bypass any SMBIOS checks macOS makes on your setup. With your UUIDs and ROM, board serials added it should work for your setup (to boot Catalina).

Thanks for the info.

Finally got to the installer GUI.

I had to remake my drive using Rufus method. I’ll post the EFI and everything working on this build once through the install

Did a normal upgrade to Monterey. Everything seems to work except Bluetooth and onboard TB4 ports.

Good stuff. That's consistent with the general state of z590 hacks. There's lots of discussion about alternatives for wireless. TB requires flashing the controller and other points well documented by CaseySJ et al at z490 / z590 thread, with reports of mixed results or better.
