Hello everyone!

First off, I'd like to give a quick shoutout to TonyMac, Mac Man and everyone out there who help run this community. You all are truly amazing for dedicating so much time into helping newbies such as myself on their Hackintosh builds. This is a prime example of what an internet community should be like!

Onto my issue. First, the details of my build:

----------------------

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD7TH
CPU: Intel i7 4770k
Cooler: Antec Kuhler H20 620
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo (One of two currently plugged in)
PCI: ASUS Geforce GTX 770 (not currently installed)
Case: Rosewill Throne G Window
PSU: Corsair TX650M

------------------------------

So basically I had everything going well, used iBoot Haswell to install Snow Leopard, installed updates, but then I tried running Multibeast, and of course, everything crashed. I found the following thread on properly installing this OS on a Haswell CPU: http://www.tonymacx86.com/snow-leop...not-installed-your-computer-2.html#post792975

...but of course this was after I messed everything up.

At this point, booting from Snow Leopard or iBoot gives me .kext panic, and I'm prompted to restart my computer.

I would like to reformat my SSD and start all over. What is the best way for me to go about this?

Thank you very much for your help!

Boot with iBoot Haswell, swap for SL retail DVD, open disk utilities, select the SSD partition, select erase and continue. There is no need to repartition the entire drive, just erase the OS X partition.
Install OS X again. Update to 10.6.8, reboot with iBoot Haswell and boot SL.
Download Mavericks and follow http://www.tonymacx86.com/374-unibeast-install-os-x-mavericks-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html to install it.

As Going Bald has pointed out this is done from the Snow Leo Installer DVD - namely from the Drop Down Menus which list Disk Utility. Which you should have seen the first time when you installed OSX to it.

As GB has outlined the steps ...
Install OS X again. Update to 10.6.8, reboot with iBoot Haswell and boot SL.
I would like to add one small important step that many posters have stated help them when it was time to make the UniBeast Thumb Drive.
That is after the install of the 10.6.8 combo update

Its strongly suggested that you install and Apple Software Installer Update 1.0
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1512
THen proceed on to reboot into SL ( don't forget startup switches and to use iBoot Haswell.)
Also WE DO NOT USE MULTIBEAST at all for a SL install on Haswell Hardware.
So forget about MULTIBEAST for now.
At this point you should be able to log into the Apple App store and get Mavericks downloaded.
Follow these steps

Thank you Going Bald and Totenkopf4!

I see precisely the step I was missing. It was an embarrassingly mistake on my part, where I just wasn't booting via disk correctly; my Hackintosh was subject to more of a User Panic than a .kext panic :p.

I will proceed as instructed, and if all goes well I'll have pictures of the finished product soon!

Have a good day/night!
