@ David7is: I got my rig up and running yesterday, but have the same problem with the hd 4000 graphics - I found that if I load it up - and then hold in the power button to put it to sleep and bring it out of sleep, it fixes the graphics problem. I haven't had time to play around with settings yet though. Will post when I solve the problem though.

Hi to all, i'm a little confused, i always thought that was impossible make a dual monitor setup with HDMI and DVI, but what was my surprise when work at first try perfectly¡¡
My setup:

H77-DS3H Rev1.1
I3-3225
8GB RAM 1600 (4X2)
BIOS F7
10.8.3
Mac Pro 3,1
Chimera 2.0.1

2x LG E2360

Next week i will made some test with a old DVI monitor and a FullHD TV.

Editing the wrong framebuffer results in no change to system behavior. There are 8 instances of 02 05 00 00 00 in the 12 framebuffers. First step is to find the framebuffer that is loading from IOReg/GFX0/AAPL,ig-platform-id, i.e., 05 00 62 01. Next find 02 05 00 00 00. This ensures the correct framebuffer is edited.

Hi Toleda. So I looked at ioregistry platform id (see pic) and its 04 00 66 01. Is that the block I replace with what is at post #166?

Why are you using 04 00 66 01, it only has one connector, LVDS?

Sorry been reading this thread, and a bit confusing for me. I'm trying to enable HDMI output on my laptop. I'm not sure which of these FB I'm suppose to replace, or change.. I tried to follow from post 166, and yours after that. Then post#25...again don't totally understand

I have an Nvidia 660TI and HD4000 I used to use the injection method by modifying the org.chameleon.Boot.plist prior to 10.8.3 SInce the release of 10.8.3 I am only able to get my nvidia card to work and have to disable the HD4000. I have tried all the previous injection strings and am stumped on how to get this working again. I only use it for Airplay so its not critical just something that bugs me. Any suggestions on how to get Airplay back since I use graphicsenabler=no due ot native driver support.

Hi Toleda. After reading this thread and another a hundred times, I finally got it. I used 03006601 id, and I got the laptop HDMI output to work.

Hi Toleda, maybe i'm totally outdated, HD4000 brings totally support for dual display through DVI and HDMI?, Thanks.

Can someone with a working VGA output make a few screenshots of the IORegistryExplorer of the frame-buffer section. Like this, with all the @outputs please and the VGA monitor connected.

I am specially interested in the AAPL,DisplayPipe, av-signal-type and connector type.
Thanks, I am just trying to figure out why there seems to be no way to make the VGA work on some notebooks.

I am currently using the 10.8.0 AppleIntelFramebufferCapri kext to get VGA working. I am trying to make an effort to get rid of rollback kexts.

My Intel HD 4000 id is 1660009.

My port layout is as follows (layout is for the 10.8.0 kext):
Code:
AAPL,ig-platform-id: 01660009
@0, 01 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 30 00 00 00 // LVDS
@1, 06 02 00 00 00 01 00 00 09 00 00 00 // VGA
@2, 03 04 00 00 00 08 00 00 06 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 // HDMI

Now on the 10.8.3 kext, I applied the exact same patch. However, my VGA output is black.

I have tried these values so far, but to no avail:
Code:
06 02 00 00 00 01 00 00 09 00 00 00 - black screen
06 02 00 00 01 00 00 00 09 00 00 00 - scrambled video
06 02 00 00 01 00 00 00 30 00 00 00 - black screen
06 02 00 00 02 00 00 00 30 00 00 00 - black screen
