Hello, this is my first post and my first attempt at building a Hackintosh, so bear with me please!
I have read all the guides and am trying to install High Sierra on my PC with the following specs:
- MB: MSI H97 Gaming 3
- CPU: Intel i5-4690
- GPU: Asus Strix GTX 960
Since I was trying a new installation of HS, I have been following this guide:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...h-sierra-public-beta-installation-usb.225520/
After solving a few unwanted problems with the file system of my USB drive and (later) of my HDD - they were both Fdisk, and I was finally able to format them as GUID using Terminal - I managed to install HS on my HDD and it can boot properly.
However, as soon as I installed the Nvidia web drivers for my GTX 960, all things screwed up. At first, I realised I was following the wrong procedure with SIP, so I turned to this very thread. After turning on SIP, I was able to install the drivers; then, I turned off SIP once again and used the sudo touch command, as advised.
However, with my Nvidia drivers installed the OS won't boot. It remains stuck on the loading bar with the Apple logo for a very long time (much longer than without the drivers), and in the end the screen turns to black.
I know this is a common problem and many other people are experiencing it. However, I have no idea how to proceed. I know I have the latest driver (117) and the latest HS release (downloaded it yesterday), so it's not an issue with those.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong with my MultiBeast settings?
I haven't installed any additional kext, and I would really appreciate any help on how to proceed!
Thanks a lot!
