I've just done a build with help of Tonymac's buyer guide and got Mavericks up and running in a breeze. 
Right now I'm using the HD4600 onboard graphics but want some power for video editing (cuda cores) and an occasional game.
I've seen in the buyer's guide that Nvidia 6xx series cards should work out of the box. Thats great. A cheap option would be a second hand GTX650. However, I see a lot of GTX560 cards that go for interesting prices and have more performance so it got me wondering. Are Nvidia 5xx cards also working right out of the box with Mavericks?
The reason I'm asking is because in the past I made another build with a HD5450 which should be very easy to get working but ended up being a P in the A.
