NootRX

Hi, i follow this tread because i will upgrade my RX 5600 XT to an RX 6650 XT or RX 6700 XT (DRM not needed).

I often use video tools which use the GPU for some tasks beside dec(/enc.

One Bench is the Neatvideo Bench (the company produces plugins):

https://www.neatvideo.com/download/neatbench

Its a terminal app.

I got this results with my older RX 570 and old i7-7700 CPU:
CPU Model: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz
GPU 1: AMD Radeon RX 570 (Metal): 4096 MB total, using up to 100%
CPU only (1 core): 3.17 frames/sec
....
CPU only (4 cores): 9.53 frames/sec
....
CPU only (8 cores): 6.89 frames/sec
GPU only (AMD Radeon RX 570): 15.2 frames/sec
...
CPU (5 cores) and GPU (AMD Radeon RX 570): 15.7 frames/sec
....

Now with i5-12400F and RX 5600XT an boost.. 25,9 FPS GPU only

Has someone with 6600/6650 XT / 6700 XT some results (gpu only)?

Also interersting were the Bench Values of the Topat VideoAI Video enhancer/upscaler app.
https://www.topazlabs.com/downloads (VideoAI, right side..)

The app has an buildin Benchmark: Menue / Process / Benchmark
Takes a few minutes..

would bei fine to see some RX 6600/6650XT and RX 6700XT values.

Benchmark for Topaz Video AI v4.1.0 macOS Sonoma using my User Profile system (AMD).

Preferences set to use RX 6700 XT GPU.

30-50% difference in Benchmark results compared to your system.

Benchmark with Preferences set to use CPU (seriously poor results).

Benchmark with Preferences set to Auto (mixed bag of results compared to the RX 6700 XT on its own).

Hope this helps with your decision making regarding a new GPU.

I'm courious too.
Now, with my 13900K and RX 6900 XT I have this resuts:

Neat Video benchmark (default set):

GPU 1: AMD Radeon HD GFX10 Family Unknown Prototype (Metal): 16368 MB total, using up to 100%

GPU only (AMD Radeon HD GFX10 Family Unknown Prototype): 59.7 frames/sec

Best combination: CPU (17 cores) and GPU (AMD Radeon HD GFX10 Family Unknown Prototype): 63.4 frames/sec

I'm going out my home... I did a very short test with Topaz... just the first row:

Complete test with Topaz VideoAI (Only RX 6900 XT and max 1process)

Very good results for the 6700XT too compared also with 6900 XT, may be the 6750XT push higher scores.

There will only be a marginal gain from the RX 6700 XT to the RX 6750 XT, approx 7% according to Benchmark's I have seen. Nowhere like the gain that would be seen from using an RX 6800 XT (approx. 40-50% increase) or RX 6900 XT (approx. 60-70% increase) depending on the process being tested.

Thanks for your RX 6700 XT & 6800 Results! Helps me to decide buying the "right" used RX 6xxx card as an RX 5600XT upgrade.
Yep, Topaz Video AI Benchmark takes some time ;)
But its also good test for stability of GPU power/temp stability.

I also tried - But my system just shut down and restart at the secont Iris test.
Have someone a idea why? I got this as PSU 1050 W -> https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0753YY1LR?tag=tonymacx8603-21

‘Soon’ is a relative term. Next year could be considered ‘soon’ considering the time it took for the Navi 22 cards to gain support.

You need to remember the developers of the NootRX and the NootedRed kext are a pair of Students with limited free time. They need to continue their education and have some semblance of a life out side computers.
