No Sound - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status
Not open for further replies.
It was already like this after running the .command.
Item 2 is not in the Post #163/config.plist attachment.
The v1.0.4 script patches 1150 correctly; the edit is no longer required.

Everything is detected, but trying to register sounds gives me poor quality recordings with noise and interferences
Audio is installed correctly and sound is working, off topic.
Noise and interference is hardware, i.e., case grounding, power supplies, etc.
Sound quality is also hardware, i.e., motherboard, codec and audio design, etc.
Start a thread for this problem.

What is item 2? Do you mean item 2 in the KextsToPatch? Post #167 includes the config.plist after following your last reply.

The ssdt is not loading, contact the developer.
This thread is only for problems installing the solutions in Post #229, Haswell-E + X99 Motherboard Temporary Guide - OS X 10.10 - Page 23.

this concern method 2:

"
Audio_ID Injection (select one method)

  1. Clover Injection
    1. Download/config-audio_cloverALC-x99.plist.zip
    2. Set config.plist/Devices/Audio/Inject/1
    3. Add config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Patches/Rename ALZA to HDEF
    4. Set config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Fixes/NO (all properties)
  2. ssdt - x99 onboard and HDMI audio
    1. SSDT-1.aml.zip

"

I am finally trying using method 1:
All the 4 points done
Then:

  1. Restart
    1. Verify IOReg/HDEF/layout-id/<01 00 00 00>

Looks ok for me:

Then

  1. Codec Patch
    1. cloverALC/Clover patched
      1. Download/config-audio_cloverALC-x99.plist.zip (same as above)
        1. Add config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/10.9.4-10.10-/x99 ALC Onboard Audio
      2. Download/Double Click/audio_cloverALC-100.command.zip

no problem for this step.

  1. Restart
    1. Verify System Preferences/Sound/Output

And finally:

And sound is not working...

:beachball:

I posted in the "No Devices" thread - as at the time I had none...

Hello,

After Toleda's advice, started over.

1. Audio Problem:
No audio devices show in SysPref/Sound - can hear "pop" from speakers on boot of system but think this is irrelevant.

2. System / OS Version
OSX Yosemite - 10.10.1 installed using this guide - http://rochetechnology.com/installi...over-uefi-including-x99-quick-hackintosh-tip/
Gigabyte X99-UD4 (F11 BIOS) - i7 5820k - GTX970 - 250Gb SSD - 2 TB HDD

3. Procedure
- reformat SSD drive
- install OS X from UNIBEAST drive (using npci=0x2000 nv_disable=1)
- kernel and kexts as per guide
- followed:

- No audio at STEP 4 - in order to make things easier I then installed the web driver so I could actually use the CustoMAC
- Installed Nvidia Web Driver from http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/81212/en-us
- Updated config.plist to set nvda_drv = 1

EDIT - sorry forgot to attach AppleHDA.kext - View attachment 126339
EDIT - thought sound Assertions may be of use too - View attachment 126341

However - since then I now have devices showing correctly...

1. Removed the Audio ID injection from clover (as SSDT-1.aml) is doing this.
2. Removed the ALZA to HDEF DSDT patch from clover (again, SSDT-1.aml).
3. Added SMBIOS settings for MacPro6,1
4. Added CPU type 1281 - C6
5. Reboot - now have Audio Devices... but sound does not play.

Thankyou so much for all the support - this forum is just amazing.

And sound is not working...
Did you try Post #1/No Sound/Audio Outputs/1. Speakers..? (screenshot suggests the answer is no)
If still no sound, Post #1, Problem Reporting. Attach requested files.

Giagbyte GA-Z87X-UD3H Audio problem solved using this guide.

Prior to Yosemite install I was using the green colour audio output.

Following this guide with the 2nd line out selected the black audio output was the correct one.

Thanks!

Please note that it appears Apple have removed the sound on volume change so you need to have some audio playing whilst making the changes and changing the plugs around.

Hi there, I notice we have the same motherboard. I'm having trouble with my USB Speaker Logitech S150. When playing Audio, Yosimete hangs.

Any idea?
