Thanks for your help!

Sorry of my unawareness, when you say "Install Desktop/AppleHDA-orig.kext", you mean reinstall the native AppleHDA correct?

I will try to do that even if my system unable the first method of the guide.(Recovery with installer)
I will try the second one. I suppressed the kextkernel patch for the moment= still no sound.

Regards...

I reinstall native apple HDA via second method (Pacifist) .exactly same issues .DPCI manager shows X99 chipset on 20 8D .I removed kernelkext "find 208C replace 208D" patch in clover...still no sound

1. Audio devices detected, hear a faint chirp upon boot, no audio once booted/logged in.
2. OSX 10.10.2 Clover, GA-x99-UD4/BIOS F12/Intel 5820k/EVGA 970 Superclocked
3. Used Toleda’s guide https://github.com/toleda/audio_RealtekALC thehttps://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC does not work at all for me.

NOTES:
-iTunes will open, I can select a song, it loads but never plays. Cannot Scrub.
-Same with YouTube.
-Audio works fine in Windows 8.1

Not correct. The device_id is not supported in native AppleHDA.kext. Removing the patch results in no sound.

Is this something because I have X99-UD4?
Try an experiment.
Remove all audio edits from config.plist
Clean 10.10.2 install

Bootable clean install:

  1. no audio
  2. save IOReg
  3. backup native AppleHDA.kext
x99 audio installation:
  1. MulitBeast 7.2 - Select: Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > √ ALC 1150
    • plus √ Optional EFI Installed Bootloader Support
    • plus √ Optional Optional HDAEnabler > Audio ID: 1
  2. Download/audio_alc_x99-hda-100_patch.command.zip
    • Double Click
  3. Restart
  4. Save IOReg
Reply with 2 IORegs.

Power to audio amp, not audio.
Missed a step:
Post #229, Haswell-E + X99 Motherboard Temporary Guide - OS X 10.10 - Page 23
Clover
3. Codec Patch
1. cloverALC/Clover patched
1. Download.....

Alright, attached is my config.plist. Following that guide, I have done all steps under Clover, through:
3. Codec Patch
1. cloverALC/Clover patched
1. Download/config-audio_cloverALC-x99.plist.zip (same as above)
1. Add config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/10.9.4-10.10-/x99 ALC Onboard

2. Download/Double Click/audio_cloverALC-100.command.zip
3. ALC1150, see toleda/audio_CloverALC/README/Note 6.

And when I get to here, my config.plist is already changed?

F. 1150 only: edit config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/
"10.9 or 10.10/AppleHDA/Realtek ALC1150"
1. Clover Configurator/Property List Editor/Replace/
a. Before: <09ec10>
b. After: <0009ec10>
2. TextEdit/Replace
a. Before: CewQ
b. After: AAnsEA==

It was already like this after running the .command.

Ok. I removed de kextpatch in clover and patch with your X99 ALC HDA100 command file : no sound.
I tried to reinstall native apple HDA, refollowing with X99plist kext in clover and without patching with the command file. Still no sound .
I got this as SSDT in my EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/PATCHED...Perhaps something wrong here.

To phillip: I have exactly same problems than you:

-output selectable
-no sound
-itunes/quicktimes stuck when I try to read any file...(rebuilt perm and Kcache didn't solve this anyway)
-During the boot, I can hear some "pops" from speakers.. then no more sound

Problem Reporting (post to this thread with attachments)

  1. Description of audio problem

Everything is detected, but trying to register sounds gives me poor quality recordings with noise and interferences
  2. OS X version/motherboard model/BIOS version/processor/graphics

    10.10.2 - GA-Z87MX-D3H - latest bios - i5 4570 - HD4600 enabled in bios & GTX 660 (not using hdmi)
  3. Procedure/Guide Used

    your fabulous guide
  4. Copy of IOReg (Tools 1.1) or IOJones (Tools 1.2)
  5. System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext
  6. System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDAxxx.kext (if installed)
  7. Console/All Messages/kernel Sound Assertions
  8. Screen shots
  9. Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist
  10. DPCIManager/Misc/Boot Log
  11. Speakers and/or microphone

Bose in-ear into rear or front port (both works)

Front and rear pink input ports:

    Shure C-606 with adapter,
3,5mm jack mic (made in china)
    headphones brutally used as mic

no one of them gives acceptable results..

please Mr. Toleda would you show me the right path?
