ALC1150 of Z97X-UD3H no sound after waking from computer sleep

  • Hey, today I test the function of computer sleep. Well, it wakes from sleep very well. However, I found after waking from sleep, sound disappears. There ALC1150 device (the icon of horn is still in the top bar) is still shown there, but no any sound. Help please.

This thread is for users that have audio devices and no sound. No sound after wake is an AppleHDA.kext problem that exists on native hardware. IOReg shows audio configured properly and working. Use Search for solutions on Apple Forums and this forum or install 10.9 or 10.9.1 AppleHDA.kext (pre sleep "fix").

Would the Apple official fix this issue in the future?

I see that I posted to the wrong forum thread.
Hi Thanks for this resource

1. No audio out No mic in
2. GA-Z77-DS3H/I7-3770K/10.8.5/Intel HD4000,Nvidia GT630,Nvidia Quadro FX 1700, Boots HD4000 first
3. Kext This Guide HDAenbler1 and AppleHDA 2.4.7
4. NO DSDT kernelcahce=on Realtek 81xx and Altheros NIC kexts NVIDIA WEB DRiver HD4000 driver from multi beast.
It is a 887 and it was working fine in 10.7.5 before clean install and latest updates from Apple of 10.8.5 using Multibeast 5.5.5 for ML.
The last image shows the codec loading on 1B,2 with no 1B,0 this was the only thing I saw that was different.
Not Certain of where the registry load order comes from I am guessing that the issue maybe with the lack of a 1B,0 interface.
perhaps a flush or reorder to place it before the INtel HD4000 guessing because all three cards have non functioning HDMI outputs. Do not need them I have no HDMI to analog breakout device, Four other workstations feed into a mixing board along with this one. AppleTV audio out is working as well as the Airport express. Apple TV video is working on the Cinema 30 as mirror.

ANy help in the correct direction is welcome.

11. Sound bank verified with same mother board separate box running Ubuntu Studio 14.04.
Line in voltage .7V stereo, Mic in electret vintage, line out rear into line in of sound board. Power supplies of all 8 devices in office are loop bonded and produce no hum. No output from this mac not even a pop or wine. Scope shows flat line on output.
USB boot to install for Lion sound functions normal if that helps.

HDEF address is fine
HDMI audio is not enabled.
IOReg does not show any audio source playing or audio device selected.
Did you try Post #1, No Sound?

Yes went through the procedure before posting this morning.
Another thing I noticed is that the volume control is greyed out even when an output is chosen.
With iTunes I get audio playback only through Airplay to Apple TV or Airport Express.
NOthing out from the ports on the front or rear of MB I saw many mention noise I do not even get that.
Testing on second boot drive on Lion I get full sound, ML I get nothing.
SO MB is still OK.

Unplug the headphones. If no Headphones, disconnect front panel at the motherboard.
What jack are you using with the Line Out selected in the screenshot?

The headphones are unplugged it switched from interal speakers to headphones in between boots today, with nothing plugged in.

I think that something in software is mismatched like going to a different address or something.

Hi everyone,
Been having a really hard time trying to get sound working after upgrading from mavericks.

Yosemite 10.10.1
Gigabyte H87 LGA 1150 CrossFireX DVI/HDMI ATX Motherboard (GA-H87-D3H) F8 Bios
Intel Core i5-4670K
EVGA GeForce GTX760 SuperClocked

I have tried everything i could possibly think of I have reinstalled the Os multiple times and tried voodoo hda Ive tried using the mavericks alc892 hda. I have tried every audio port on my computer while playing iTunes. Tried every line out and internal speaker. Still nothing. Im currently using the alc892 from multibeast 7.1.1 with hda enabler 1. I have tried it also without the hda enabler. I have no idea how to fix this. Could anyone please help me?
