No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status

There are 3 codec specific zml.zlib files that are added to Resources. Because the names are not native, Software Update does not see them. The files are loaded when AppleHDA binary runs during boot and why they have to be present in Resources. When AppleHDA.kext is removed, obviously, the extra files are removed as well.
I see. Thanks!

UPDATE: Got it working using config.plist Toleda made for Boysofsummer32!

1. No audio devices appear
2. Yosemite 10.10, AsRock z97 Extreme6, i7 4790k, Nvidia 660
3. Installed Yosemite using clover. Ran audio_cloverALC-100.command

Nevermind. Managed to get it working using BOS32 config.plist! Thanks for your help (to him and me)!

Thanks Toleda,

I will install the patched config.plist you sent this evening and report back.

A related question, I have a partition on my hard drive called EFI which I can mount with Clover configurator etc.

I also have a folder at the root of my Yosemite installation called EFI

Should I only have the partition/mounted volume and not the folder? Or are both needed? In other words, do I need to install the config.plist you sent in both the volume EFI and the folder EFI which are in 2 separate places?

Thanks

Hi, thanks for the guide. I'm having issues trying to make audio recognized, in system preferences it shows no audio devices. My layout ID is 00 00 00 00, and i've tried solving it by using HDAEnabler module with Chimera as you recommended. However it still isn't working, I don't know why.

My motherboard is the GA-H97M-D3H, which uses Realtek ALC892. BIOS F4, Intel i7 4790 and HD Graphics 4600. I've installed OSx with Unibeast + Multibeast method and the Apple HDA kext patch using your script in Terminal.

I'm attaching the files you requested, hope you can help me! Thanks in advance

using HDAEnabler module with Chimera
You found the problem, you tried the right solution and you failed to verify your work.
Two boot flags are missing in org.chameleon.Boot.plist. Revisit the link and try again.

Clover/UEFI uses EFI partition. It is represented as EFI/EFI/CLOVER/...

Thanks for all your help Toleda.
I now have audio working!

Now working on sorting iMessage out...
