No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status
Not open for further replies.
Been scratching my head over this for a few days now, hopefully you can help!
  1. System preferences shows no audio input/output devices (except for my Apple TV), even when my headphones (and their built-in mic) are plugged in. I can't change the volume by pressing F11/F12. I've played around with VoodooHDA a bit but was never able to get a fully functional, static-less audio port, so I've deleted the kext from S/L/E.
  2. MacOS 10.12.2/Gigabyte Z170MX-Gaming 5/BIOS F20/Intel Core i5-6600K @3.5 GHz/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2047 MB
  3. Procedure/Guide Used: I started out with the LifeHacker walkthrough on setting up a Hackintosh and have used various sources (******, tonymacx86, and other forums) to troubleshoot.
    1. I Checked "Reset HDA" in Clover Configurator, rebooted, unchecked it, installed Realtek ALC1150 in MultiBeast, and rebooted again, so to my knowledge it's the only one enabled.
    2. What am I supposed to put here?
  4. Result: "No Audio Codec Detected"
  5. Copy of IOReg attached
  6. AppleHDA.kext attached
  7. I don't seem to have an AppleHDA1150.kext in S/L/E... should I?
  8. I don't see any "Kernel Sound Assertions section in the Console
  9. Screen shots: attached
  10. Result of running audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0d.command:
    "Error occurred, AppleHDA.kext/Contents/Info.plist/BundleShortVersionString not found
    No system files were changed"
  11. I didn't use Chameleon
  12. Clover (if installed)
    1. config.plist: attached
    2. boot log: attached (I just pasted it into TextEdit and hit "Make Plain Text")
    3. EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/dsdt.aml: no such file
    4. EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/ssdt.aml: no such file

OK. Here are a new set of files with my previous information. I wasn't sure which clover config.plist to post so I attached them all. Let me know I did anything wrong

Thanks!

No Audio Codec Detected
macOS does not natively support 100 Series audio
Fix: see Post #1/Unsupported/Non working Realtek ALC AppleHDA/1. 100 Series/Intel High Definition Audio
Error occurred, AppleHDA.kext/Contents/Info.plist/BundleShortVersionString not found
AppleHDA.kext is not native
Fix, see Post #1/Realtek ALC AppleHDA Installation/3. Native AppleHDA

I just installed Sierra and was able to fix all the issues except audio. My motherboard supports Realtek ALC 887 Audio and I tried using the audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0d.command file. When I begin to use it, I get the following error message:

B0D3@3 found, HDAU edit required for HD4600 HDMI audio
dsdt edit/ssdt injection not available with this script'

Moreover, as I proceed with the download, I choose the option to have the HD Audio 4600 Apple HDA patched and say that I don't want Clover Audio. I tried it with and without Clover and it does not seem to working. I have attached my config.plist from the EFI mount.

Any help would be much appreciated

No audio devices
Why are 7 config.plists attached? Only one loads. Remove others.
MultiBeast error,
Edit config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/Item 2/10.9-10.11-AppleHDA/Realtek ALC889
Use Xcode or a property list editor. A text editor usually damages the file.
Save, install, restart and reply with new files

Not an error, useful information.
Answer the question (y/n)
config.plist is damaged, replace.
Run cloverALC, answer all questions
Reply with new files.

Im sorry. I uploaded all of them because I wasn't sure which one is the right one. Im sorry if I am asking obvious/dumb questions.

How can I find out which one his loading?

How do I remove the other config.plist files? just delete them? uninstall them somehow?

I will install Xcode and try editing the config.plist file again after I hear back from you about removing the config.plist files.

thanks again!

So should I run the cloverALC file again and answer y to all the questions and resubmit my files?
