No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status
Not open for further replies.
Valid: Booted partition/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist
To remove, select config.plist, Finder/File/Move to Trash

I deleted the config.plist files I found and kept the one with the latest date. I found it in the following location which is different from what you posted.

Booted partition/EFI-backups/r3423/2017-01-03-22h41/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist

Does it still load from there? There was nothing under "Booted partition/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist"

Why are 7 config.plists attached? Only one loads. Remove others.
MultiBeast error,
Edit config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/Item 2/10.9-10.11-AppleHDA/Realtek ALC889
Use Xcode or a property list editor. A text editor usually damages the file.
Save, install, restart and reply with new files

I edited the file using Xcode but I don't know what you mean by "install". How do I do that? attached the config.plist file I edited. Will await response about the "install" step before refreshing new files.

Thanks again.

Ok. I didn't realize you wanted that deleted. It is deleted and is now attached here.

But since there is no file in /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist, what should I do? Can you also clarify what you meant by "install" in your previous post?

thanks

Not correct. Post #1257/config.plist shows 4 properties, delete Item 2 as noted and 3 properties remain. "Edited" config.plist show 2 properties and 1 is wrong.

When the edited config.plist is correct, Install means copy config.plist to EFI/CLOVER resulting in /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist

Ok. I think I have it right this time. Attached*

Since there is no EFI folder in the booted partition should I copy and paste the one from the EFI- backups folder with the edited config.plist file?

Hi Toleda,

Here's my attempt to answer these questions:

1. "No Output Devices found" in output menu of sound.
2. macOS Sierra 10.12/ Maximus VIII Hero/BIOS 2202
3.1. Multibeast selections: ALC1150 and the 100 series motherboard support.
3.2. Kind of confused on how I am supposed to type these prompts....
4. Attached.
5. Attached.
6. Not sure if I did this the way it needed to be.... Attached a screenshot.
7. Not installed.
8. I didn't understand this....

10/11. N/A, didn't use the script and I don't use Chameleon.
12.1. Attached.
12.2. Attached: I copied the Boot Log into a text doc, hope that is okay for you.

Thank you so much for helping me and the rest of this community with our audio issues!

EDIT: FIXED with this script: https://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC/blob/master/audio_cloverALC-120.command.zip
Thanks so much toleda and your script, found it over at the ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING audio thread.
