No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

I chose Audio channel 2, because i want to be able to connect my rig to a 5.1 home theatre via optical cable. (thats how it was with El Capitan).

Not correct, use Audio ID: 1 (5 or 6 motherboard audio port)

Excuse my dumbness here but I have no clue about what exactly you would need to help. What would I need to post ???

I have installed 10.11.5 and successfully managed to get everything to work out the box except the Audio.

I've got a Gigabyte GA H170 HD3 and I've used DCPI Manager to check that there is an audio device there , which there is ( codec 888b )
I have Ubuntu installed on another HD AND audio works perfectly .so confused !!

ok let me try this again...

1) My audio is muzzled and staticy. Oddly enough switching the audio on the Mobo back and forth from HD Audio to AC'97, or just simply unplugging and replugging whatever last was used, makes it work. For the first boot anyway, then after a reboot it goes back to being static. Or often times nothing at all.

After installing Sierra and using multibeast to install ALC1150 and 100 Series, nothing shows up in "Output" in my sound settings

Audio is not working.
macOS does not support AC97, means front panel audio ports will not work.
Use Audio ID: 1.
Download codecdetect for the latest version.
MultiBeast 8 does not support Sierra audio.
