No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status
Not open for further replies.
Unrecoverable, clean install.

Just recovered it...
I used your script just like 20sec ago, and it worked. Waiting to see what install does.

here's files:
codecdetect_v2.0.txt
cloverALC120.txt

EDIT:
Just restarted, no audio devices shown. Can I move from here, or is clean install absolutely necessary?

EDIT 2:
IOReg shows HDEF and
  1. <01 00 00 00> valid, all supported codecs
DPCIMan shows 0x10EC0887, as Codec ID, but Codec name is Realtek 888B
Again, in earlier versions, in multibeast, 887 and 888B are shown together.

What next?

Hope I'm posting in the right place this time :s

1- Have no audio after using ALC-Clover 120
2- 10.12, Asrock Extreme 4 Z77, 3770k, GTX 970
3 - Guide Used- > Sierra Desktop/Realtek AppleHDA Audio (I don't know what options I should be selecting)
4 - Realtek 898
5 - Sorry for unanswerd questions, still learning.

Update: Solved issue, Needed to select Option 2, and no to inject audio.
So happy it is working, Thank you

Same codec, marketing.

Ok, so what do I do from there?
Clearly, I got native AppleHDA, your script worked, but I still have no audio output.

I really don't want to reinstall Sierra again, since I had Xcode, Visual and a lot of other stuff that I really don't want to install all over again.

Audio seems to be shown correctly, yet I don't see any audio devices.

IOReg shows audio working.

Well when I was going through all the steps to post here I didn't realize that at the time it WAS working. So thats probably why it shows audio working. But as I had mentioned it stopped. And I can assure you it's not working now..... so I got a new ioreg attached.

I also notice in my system settings since upgrading to Sierra, nothing is showing in my output setting for Sound. I tried installing ALC1150 and 100 series but still nothing.

Thanks

Hi Toleda, Cheers for getting back to me, ok i downloaded & ran the cloverALC120 script, hopefully answered the right things!
I chose Audio channel 2, because i want to be able to connect my rig to a 5.1 home theatre via optical cable. (thats how it was with El Capitan).

Still the same, only audio devices are network connected ATVs.

I re-did and attached the files again, and here is a recap of the questions / answers.

Cheers in advance.

1. Only Audio devices shown are Network connected Apple TVs.
Had El Capitan 10.11 (never updated) Working Audio (optical cable 5.1), updated to MacOs, no audio devices (only network attached ATVs).
2. MacOS Sierra, Asus Z87 Pro, i7 4770k, ASUS GTX-770 (NVIDIA)
3. Tried using audio_cloverALC-120.command.zip method but same result.
UPDATE - re-installed Sierra over-top.
UPDATE - ran audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0b0.command
4. Tool not compatible with Sierra.

Attach all requested files.
Also looking to solve this issue, I ran the audio_cloverALC-110_v1.0s10.command per the steps, rebooted but still no basic audio. I'm on version OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 (15G31). Appreciate any help, tsk!
