Install config.plist to EFI/Clover/
Run audio_cloverALC-100.command
Reply with Terminal Saved Output and config.plist

Okay--now the script returns the no IOReg..... errors. The only way I was able to get that to go away was with the FixHDA=true in Clover.

   2. Set config.plist/Devices/Audio/Inject/1
   3. Add config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Patches/Rename ALZA to HDEF

Okay--HDEF now shows correctly in IOReg.
Still get the no codec error though after doing Step 2.

No HDEF previously. No codec is new, not same.

No evidence, no clue.

Invalid patch.
Delete config.plist/KernelAndKextsPatches/KextsToPatch/Item 0 (before/after edit is not a find/replace patch)

I don't understand... if I delete the patch, what do I replace it with? I have no idea how to create a before/after edit.

F. 1150 only: edit config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/

a. Before: <09ec10>

if I delete the patch, what do I replace it with?

The edit is required after the script is run, not before. Delete the patch. Restart.

Removed the patch. Restarted. No codec error shown when I run the script. No codec shown under Audio devices in DPCIManager. I've attached the latest Clover config--am I missing something small somewhere? I have seen the codec in DPCIManager but it seems like once I turned the OldWay/NewWay/FixHDA fixes off, I haven't seen it since.
