Hi there,
I am interested in reinstalling my system as it was a few weeks ago as i corrupted my system library by trying to manually install protools 10 on yosemite. Everybody said it couldn't be done well it seems to be true... Now nor Protools 10 nor 11 work and on the top of that i lost my audio device.
I used to have 6ch output through HDMI thanks to an archive that enabled it called HDMIAudio.dmg but it doesn't seem to solve my issue.
Tried reinstalling ALC892 drivers from latest multibeast, no result.

Also, my mac would not boot without the -f flag anymore. It used to be working with npci=0x2000 now it needs both.

I think i will opt for a clean install of the system but my question is HOW?
Should i format my SSD with the unibeast usb drive and just throw my bootflag?
Is there any work around?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply,
Does that mean there is no way to repare the system library?

Do you know why the -f flag is needed now?

I am curious to understand what went wrong...
Many thanks
