Hi

I have the issue where dragging does not work.
I have a Lenovo G510 running OSX 10.9.4 with a Synaptics touchpad (normal touchpad with separate buttons). Clicking and dragging does not work. Double click drag moves the window for the less than a second and then stops. Right click and drag does not work (keeps popping the context menu).

I have tried some previous versions of the kexts and it did not work either. Cleared the kextcache and that did not work for me too. Installation was as per instruction (though I did not find the kexts that were supposed to be removed in my E folder.)

I know I have seen this issue somewhere but am unable to find the fix. Any suggestions?

Comments:
- you're using an old version of the driver
- your trackpad is not supported by my driver. You have an ELAN trackpad. Search for appropriate drivers for your trackpad.

Looks ok. Install the debug version to provide additional diagnostics in system.log.

Hi RehabMan,

Please find attached syslog extract that covers the moment when the issue occurred. Something seems to have started occurring at around 10:45:41-10:45:43. Those exceptions seem to be thrown from some java lib, not sure how exactly that is related to VoodooPS2Controller to be honest, maybe some overlapping stuff, but that seems to occur every time I have this issue with the trackpad stopping working suddenly. The pattern seems to be always the same - I use the trackpad to scroll etc., then I switch to the keyboard to type, and when I switch back to the trackpad it may stop responding sometimes.

Many thanks

Hi Rehabman,

I have modified your great voodoops2 kext with the correct fn key for hp 5330m.

F4= screen
F5= lock keypad
F6= screen light down
F7= screen light up
fn+F9= keyboard backlight on/off
F11= Vol -
F12= Vol+

Best regards to all.

Cyril

Just post your changes to the Info.plist. Thanks...

Note: You should not modify the functions of F4/F5/F6/F7/F11/F12 as then you will be unable to generate those function keys.
