I just finished a mostly successful Ventura 13.5.2 install on a ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 3, this is my first install that's in any way successful but it does have some things that don't exactly function.
What currently works is:
  • iGPU acceleration
  • WiFi and Bluetooth
  • Audio (w/mic)
  • Keyboard
  • Touchscreen (no pen), Touchpad, Mousenipple
  • SMC (seems to mostly work though i feel like its running hot)
  • USB (fully USB mapped)
What currently isn't properly working is:
  • Touchscreen Pen
  • Backlight
  • HDMI Out (Flickers screen with no output)
I can't get the backlight to work properly no matter what I've tried, I have no backlight control and its stuck at what looks like 60% brightness.
The touchscreen works perfectly, it's even nicer to use than the Touchpad and it was actually the first thing that worked during the installation. But I don't know/can't get the Pen to work at all, the screen does not see it.

I threw this config together by following the Dortania Guide and also by looking at older configs that haven't been updated in a while for other help (it's how I got YogaSMC and iGPU to work).
If anyone can help with this I'd be more than grateful because I'm mostly out of ideas. I can provide more details if there's questions.
I have my EFI up on github for anyone to look at. Thanks in advance!

Also exact specs:
  • CPU: i5-8350U @ 1.7Ghz
  • GPU: Intel UHD 620
  • RAM: 8GB LPDDR3
  • Audio: ALC285 (branded as ALC3286)
  • Ethernet: Intel I219-LM (port through extension so untested)
  • WiFi/BT: Intel AC 8265 802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.2
  • BIOS: Newest Official (16. September 2023)

Hi, thanks for your guide. I'm wondering if sleep and battery status are working?
