I'm starting this thread to both get help and to store all of the fixes. I tend to start on one fix and get distracted by trying to fix something else that may not be as important so please bear with me.

New UniBeast/MultiBeast install of High Sierra.

i7-7700K 4.2GHz 91W CPU
EVGA Z270 Classified K Mobo
AMD Radeon RX 560 (not installed yet)
16GB (2x8GB) G.Skill (2666mhz)
500GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD (boot drive)
250GB Samsung 960 EVO NVMe SSD (non boot)
Corsair CX750M PSU

Here's all of the (current) problems:

CPU PM
No HDMI Audio
HD630 not accelerated (showing 7MB and 1080p res)
Black screen when I try to boot with AMD Radeon RX 560 GPU...not worried about that until I get these other things fixed.

1) Chronic freezes and crashes - I think no native CPU PM. Need help there.

KernelPM, Apple RTC and AppleIntelCPUPM checked in clover/kernel and kext patches.
Nothing checked in clover/ACPI fixes, including no DSDT patches. (Not sure if PLUGIN type = 1 counts)

Tried using this guide to generate an SSDT but that failed:

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/quick-guide-to-generate-a-ssdt-for-cpu-power-management.177456/

Code:
curl -o ~/ssdtPRGen.sh https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh/master/ssdtPRGen.sh
  chmod +x ~/ssdtPRGen.sh
  sudo ~/ssdtPRGen.sh

Received this as an output:
System information: Mac OS X 10.13.1 (17B48)

Brandstring 'Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz'

Update 11-28

Finally compiled the ssdt.aml. Had to find the version of the ssdtPRGen that supported 18,3 and i7-7700k. Downloaded it from here:

https://github.com/Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh/tree/0e2a5af2e51a7b8ab6cce8048e9f71fdaf48bba7

Added it to EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched. Not sure where to go from there.

2) HDMI Audio. No dice. I have no clue where to even start. I have IOReg and I can provide anyone with anything they need to help me get this fixed. (Not sure how to save the file and what you want/need) I have confirmed I have the HDAS from AppleACPIPCI. I don't know what to do from there.

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/324635-applehda-hdmi-audio/

I'm hesitant to DSDT patch HDAS to HDEF because using the audio_cloverHDMI-130_v0.6.COMMAND from the ABOVE guide doesn't work (Error: no IOReg/HDEF; BIOS/audio/disabled or ACPI problem)

If I start patching things without understanding what and why, I could make things worse. I have Audio set = 1 in clover/devices and no other patches related to audio or HDMI (not even IntelHDMI selected).

Update: 11/28

Patched HDAS with FixHDA under DSDT fixes in Clover. Got HDEF. Ran above command and received this error:

EFI partition is mounted

HDMI audio codec(s)

Intel: 0x8086280b

Device ID: 0x00000000 not supported

Not sure where to go from there.

UPDATE: 12/2

Figured out that the chipset on my board required the VoodooHDA Kext, not the Realtek ALC (duh!). Opened MultiBeast package and selected the VoodooHDA kext I needed. Had to remove the HDAS > HDEF patch in ACPI. Still no HDMI Audio but I can use the others and at least it recognizes that I have sound! LOL...more progress, though a little too late. Already ordered a new board and should get it today.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3) HD630 not accelerated (showing 7MB and 1080p res). I have the Plugin Type set to "1" in the ACPI/SSDT and Clover/devices FakeID set to 0x59128086 and Clover/Graphics ig-platform-id set to 0x59120000. I have IntelGraphicsFixup.kext and Lilu.kext in /L/E.

Nothing in my EFI/Clover/ACPI origin or patched folders. (Update 11-28 - ssdt.aml generated and inserted)
Nothing in my EFI/CLover/kexts/other folders either.

Including my config.plist and I'm willing to provide any other data you need.

I'm looking through the IOReg and Clover/DSDT list of patches.

HECI
GFX0
SAT0

All are in my IOReg output...should I patch them all?

Had to start over. I started attempting patches and it bricked my install.

Starting over might be the right way to go.
Pick a Golden Build from these forums and start reading. I think your video card might pose a few issues and getting that nVME to work as a boot device might cause issues as well (even though you say it's not a boot device don't tell me you aren't tempted!) First find that Golden Build!

Thanks for the reply. I ordered a new motherboard.

ASUS PRIME Z270-A LGA 1151 Intel Z270
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132936

It's smaller (ATX) and it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of my current motherboard (EVGA Z270 Classified K [EATX]) and less SATA ports (6 - a HUGE deal to me b/c the other has 8) but it does have a good build I can follow from here.

I'm not using my NVMe SSD as a boot drive. I'm using it for transcoding and backup of essential files. Some may think it's a waste but that's what I wanted.

Will report back once I get the new board (sometime today).

Quick Question:

Can I take my current install and plug it into a new motherboard? Obviously the audio will be different but I'm not changing anything other than the motherboard. I'm going to try to add in the Radeon RX 560 but other than that, same everything...

Will that work?

Hi there,

I don't think so. Much easier if you restart the installation.

Way to boot into the Prime A (which I have also) is use the standard 10.12.6 Unibeast setup, and using and using Margate's BIOS suggestions

using the Intel HD630, with Unibeast use Verbose & the Don't reboot with panic option under Clover. This should allow you to boot into and setup the system. Just remember to add Multibeast & Clover and add your ATI drivers afterwards before rebooting.
