Article: MultiBeast 5.5 Update

MultiBeast v5.5.0+ incorporates the latest kexts that were broken by 10.8.5 including GenericUSBXHCI.kext v1.2.6d2.

With this latest MB5.5.1 app, I could update my hacintosh (GA-Z87X-OC with i7-4770K/GTX780, HD4600 is connected to EIZO display via DisplayPort ) and make it more stable when using GTX780 as primary Display.

But, I have still two problem.

1) "Memory allocation Error ": that comes when I choose the option of "UserDSDT or DSDT Free installation" on the MultiBeast 5.5 ( and also MB5.4.x).

2) Never "Precise enabling HD4600 ( Z87 Onboard Graphic Processor)" : I tried again and again with several setting options within MultiBeast MB5.5, but I never reached the point that HD4600 is fully utilized with the biggest native screen size - 1920 x 1200. Only the size that I reached, is 1024 x768.

Which means that I have to wait for OS X 10.9 in order to the multi display ( GTX780 and HG4600 - both are full size screen ) will be supported ?

Pls advise if you encounter same problem and solve them .

I tried to run with a Gigabyte GA-Z77N-wifi, checking "UserDSDT or DSDT-free", and then only the default which is the PowerManagement patch. The installer hangs here:

Could anyone with working H or Z87N-WIFI on HD4600 post the following:
1) org.chameleon.boot.plist
2) multibeast selections
3) bios settings
?

I still can't boot it with integrated graphics without -x option. New multibeast didn't help too.

Are you using the upper HDMI port? The lower one is no good thus far.

Also just use the same Multibeast settings as tonymacx86 did in his Haswell build you should be fine.
I have the GA-Z87N-WIFI and used the same Multibeast settings.

Followed Stork's update on 9-12 on 10.8.5 update. Asus ROG Maximus IV Extreme -Z Z68 board.
Smooth sailing with no hiccups. After 4 or 5 major updates of Mountain Lion I always triple check my CarbonCopy backup. Today I never needed it.

Thanks to the Tonymacx86 team!!!

eelhead: thank you, I've missed his post. Now graphics works and there it doesn't hang up on boot. It seems that I need to defeat two issues:
1) It seems that network kext from tonymac was redundant -- ethernet stopped working
2) I've connected the computer to 48 inch Samsung TV and the text looks terrible, but it's not connected with the system at all I think

Thank you once more!

A couple of things:

1) You don't need the PowerManagement patch with your motherboard.
2) You need to run Disk Utility and do a Repair Disk based on this message in the log:
Failed to move active dyld cache file /var/db/dyld/dyld_shared_cache_x86_64 to /var/run: No such file or directory
