Re: MultiBeast 2.0.2

Yes, I deleted it. It actually caused a kernel panic so I had to reboot in safe mode to get rid of it. I read that you can't have the AppleHDA driver along with VoodooHDA in /S/L/E, so I guess that was the trouble.

Right now I'm just running Legacy889aHDA in /E/E along with running system utilities and reboot.
What does System Profiler say for Audio?

Do any devices show up in System Preferences / Sound?

In terminal run the following command:

Code:

Ran the command in terminal. It found and unpacked three kexts but still no sound before or after reboot.

What three?

What version of AppleHDA is in /S/L/E?

Re: MultiBeast 2.0.3

That looks like the Legacy889aHDA version.

AppleHDA for 10.6.2 is 1.7.9a4
AppleHDA for 10.6.3 is 1.8.4fc3
AppleHDA for 10.6.4 is 1.8.7f1

Oh sorry, my apologies. I misread your post completely.

Version is 1.7.9a4 but I'm actually running 10.6.3 not 10.6.2...
