MSI PRO Z690 A DDR4 + i7-12700K + AMD RX 580

After upgrading from Monterey to Ventura, the "Wake for Network Access" option is missing under "Energy Saver". Does anyone still has this option in Ventura?

Interesting. Can you confirm your LAN port is working?
Yeah, the LAN port is working perfectly. Do you have "Wake for Network Access" option in Ventura?

I've this one on my Macbook (Ventura), I haven't on hack.

Glad that I'm not alone. It would be great to have more confirmation whether this is common to MSI boards.

Another strange behaviour is when I boot to Ventura Recovery and try to reinstall macOS, I would get a message saying "Internet connection is required to install macOS". Seems Recovery couldn't detect my Ethernet and this may be related to the missing option above. However, if I boot to Monterey Recovery, I can reinstall macOS without any problem.

I've tried to enable WiFi and the "Wake for Network Access" option appeared. But this only relates to WiFi and and Ethernet port LED is still off when sleep. Anyway, waking via WiFi interface doesn't work also.

Hello;

I'm getting "1 alert" in About menu like this.

When I click on "About" I got "!" in memory

I suspected that this may the culprit. But when I click on that "!"

It seem like there is nothing wrong about the memory mapping.

Any ideas?
@NorthAmTransAm

Thanks.

That is not an exclamation-mark signifying anything is wrong at all. That's an "i" for "Information".

However maybe I'm misunderstanding and @NorthAmTransAm can help you. :thumbup:

@UtterDisbelief If the "I" meant something is wrong we'd be toast.

So memory mapping...I did this awhile back just to see if I could and it was a mess! I feel like the slots reassign them randomly as well on each boot. Anyway, your best best is to just clear that and use RestrictEvents.kext.

I'll need to do some digging. This one is weird.
