Sorry mate, my Bad..

So I have a laptop Medion Erazer x6823, it is actually a MSI GT60 Barebone.. AMI APTIO UEFIO Bios..

I have a Uefi install of 10.8.4 using bootloader clover, HD4000 is working great using string injection :

The only thing I cant get to work is the onboard sound (alc892) and hdmi sound (hd4000 hdmi).

I have tried to patch my dsdt using maciasl but I am never able to save due to compile errors.

Specs:

i7 3630qm + HD4000
Optimus GTX 670MX (Disabled)
High Definition Audio Codec ALC892 / Codec ID 10EC0892h / 146210D2h / Codec Revision 1000h
High Definition Audio Codec Intel Panther Point HDMI / Codec ID 80862806h / 80860101h / Codec Revision 1000h

This is the address of HD Audio Controller:

Attached dsdt has no hdmi audio dsdt edits. If you make dsdt edits, delete property type injection.
Attached IOReg shows onboard audio is disabled. Are you booting with a USB installer? Audio enabled in BIOS? What are you using for layout-id injection? Version of S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext?

Hi Toleda,

How is the AppleHDA for ALC1150 coming along? I would be happy to be a tester if you need someone to help you with that :)
 
I have supermicro X9DAi motherboard. I can't install realtek audio driver 889. All the instructions are too much for me to follow. Can you please help me at step by step instruction? I have installed ML 10.8.4.

How difficult is one check mark?
MultiBeast 5.4 or newer - Select-Drivers & Bootloaders-Drivers-Audio-Realtek ALC8xx-Without DSDT √ALC8

Yes, I tried it with multibease 5.4.3 withoud dsdt. But I can't get the sound. Can I get x9dai dsdt.aml ?

Hi Folks, this patch had me worried for a bit.

I had always had working 2 channel audio with ML until 10.8.5

btw my mobo is an Asus P8P67 pro

I grabbed the latest multi-beast, patched my audio driver using the non dsdt driver for alc892, rebooted, had volume controls... but no sound...

I tried reinstalling the driver... fix permissions.. restart etc.

Finally I hauled my computer tower out to double check the cabling. Looked good. Tried plugging into the other coloured ports, no sound...

When I plugged the cable back into the green port, I had sound!

I believe there may be something funny going on with the realtek autosensing which ports have jacks plugged in. I have seen this issue on linux as well.

So as simple as it sounds if you have volume controls on your desktop try unplugging the audio cables from your tower and plugging them back in...
