I see you are posting in 2 forums.
AppleHDA.kext is not loading, reasons:
1. Audio disabled in BIOS
2. Booting with a USB installer
3. S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext not installed
4. S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext installed improperly
5. dsdt/HDEF incorrect, delete hda-gfx injection

Problem: "No output/input device found" in System Preferences/Sound

Procedure: This guide (without DSDT)

Hardware:
Gigabyte GA-G41M-Combo rev2.0 (Audio codec: Realtek ALC887 (VEN_10EC&DEV_0887)) BIOS: FB
Core 2 Duo E7400
MSI GTX 650
Mac OS X 10.8.3

AppleHDA.kext version: 2.3.7-toledaALC887cur
HDAEnabler1.kext version: 1.0.0d1

Small problems:
IOReg: I couldn't find "IOHDACodecDevice@1B,0" but there is "IOHDACodecDevice@1B,2" only
Console: No result searching "kernel Sound Assertions" in Applications/Utilities/Console/All Messages/

I'm a noob here and I'm sure I'm doing it wrong way. Thanks in advance for helping.

The current version of the 887 did not exist when your motherboard was made. Try 887 Legacy

The result remains the same, "No output/input devices found"

My graphics card has two DVI and one HDMI(mini) port. Is that HDMI causing the problem?

No. The pin configs are not loading. If you have a Windows install, you may want to extract the pin configuration. Otherwise, I don't have any more ideas.

How can I do that? I've never been heard of that pin configuration!

Yes! I've Windows 8 installed on this system!

An idea: I'm thinking of plugging 3.5 mm jack into mini HDMI of my graphics card through an adapter or, in USB. Will these help?
