As you'll see below my avatar I've got a Nvidia card and I've always just used HDMI, but your mileage may vary.

I would stick with HDMI unless you encounter a problem.

Ok, I'll try immediatly and I keep you update in real time :p . I think I need "GraphicsEnabler=No" too because of GeForce GPU, don't I?

EDIT: no way...now boot hangs on ATHR: Unknown Locale: 21...as wrote here http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...in-lion-install-athr-unknown-locale-21-a.html seems related to VT-d option as you said, but I already disabled that option...but I'm still stock here...I'm using "GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=0 -v -x"

Here attached there are all my BIOS settings...take a look.

Another thing, when I created the USB Stick using UniBeast 1.6.1 I selected "Legacy USB Support" because I didn't know if it was needed or not...I don't know if it can make any difference. And I have a second Hitachi SATA HDD 500GB connected...have I to remove it during install?

Moarfish, just wanted to say thanks for the great guide.

Running ML 10.8.2 on my GA-B75M-D3H with 3770k, Radeon 6850, dual displays, and dual booting Windows 8.

Another thing, when I created the USB Stick using UniBeast 1.6.1 I selected "Legacy USB Support" because I didn't know if it was needed or not...I don't know if it can make any difference.

I was just leaving every default and did not select anything during the Unibeast setup.

The other BIOS settings are fine?
I'm creating new USB Stick right now...I saw that UniBest 1.7.0 has been released so I'll use that version and I won't select "USB Legacy Support" option...I will let you know.

No way...I don't understand...I set all BIOS settings as suggested and I tried every kind of KF

* none (the first attached picture shows the boot with no KF...same result as the others time)
* GraphicsEnabler=No
* PCIRootUID=0
* GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=0
* -x
* GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=0 -x
* GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=0 DSDT=/dev/null/ -x

Every time my boot hangs after Network line...I tried to disable on board network but nothing changed...
The PCI WiFi Card is a TL-WDN4800 that is suggested on the "Building a CustoMac: Buyer's Guide January 2013"...so I think it can't be a problem...

What is wrong? :(

Hi, I'm planning to build a similar spec'ed machine, perhaps with b75m-d3p which is now down to £50 on Amazon.co.uk.

One question I couldn't find discussed anywhere in this thread, does iMessage work with your build?

Thanks.

iMessage is working for my build.

heya! i got the hardware today, within 20 mins i got the system up and running. few questions -

1. nvm that, fixed!
2. i entered graphics settings and i got a msg telling me i must restart. i just got that once and never saw it again. anything important?
3. abit ulrelated but - i want to set my switch language shortcut to alt+shift, but it doesnt let me do that (i can do to other combinations, just not with SHIFT key). any ideas?

also want to thank you alot! your guide gave me the confidence to go ahead and try it :)

edit: the msg that told me i must restart happened again. it seems it happens randomly when i enter different settings of the computer. any idea?
