switching to a HDMI->HDMI cable instead of DVI-D->HDMI made it work, although DVI-D->HDMI worked nicely in 10.9.2 and obviously didn't occur to me that I may not work in 10.9.3

Hi Everybody,

I'm going through my first build and trying to get audio over DisplayPort working from my graphics card. A little bit of info on my build (sorry, don't have a signature with it listed yet):

- GA-Z87X-UD5 TH
- 4770K
- Gigabyte GTX-760
- Integrated graphics disabled in BIOS
- Fresh install of 10.9.3. DSDT free.
- Monitor: LG 34UM95 connected over HDMI. I'm hoping to use DisplayPort but have it connected via HDMI right now in case it makes a difference for this process.

I'm running into trouble while trying to compile my extracted dsdt-motherboard-native.dsl with the UEFI-Clean Compile patches. I'll try and run through the requested problem reporting template below. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Attached dsdt is not native, it has the wrong UEFI-Clean Compile edits, delete.
Extract the dsdt again. Save. Duplicate. Edit the duplicate.

Hi

I have just completed my first build:
B85M-HD3
i3 4330
and making use of HDMI port connected to my TV

But i do not have any audio. on my audio out devices listed on mavericks i only see my apple tvs and no internal audio devices.

Please can you assist me in getting the audio going, i need the idiots guide..

Hi I have gone through post 1.

And need to clarify:
1. For my system should procedure should i follow? (B85M-HD3 board with a i3 4330 CPU, and no graphics card)
2. What is a dstd and ssdt? when i did my multi beast setup i used DTTD free.
