I think YES.
Apple Vendor ID: 05AC
Product ID: like native usb 3.0 on latest MAC i don't know, try to search screenshots with usb 3.0 devices from new MacBook Pro.

Do you know the Apple Subsystem ID? I want to try and flash for Apple and use default Lion kexts.

OK,

I have an Acer TimeLineX 3830TG with the NEC/Renesas USB 3.0 chip.

This one is pretty nasty as this notebook will just freeze requiring a cold boot if I try to use the USB3.0 port with the hacked PXHCD.kext. This is with the stock Acer subsystem IDs still in place.

I successfully reflashed my chip to CalDigit, installed their kexts and rebooted but I freeze on startup with an IOUSBFamily error.

I next tried with Oyen and ended up with the same result.

I'll see thses types of errors right before hanging ...

-----

The IOUSBFamily is having trouble enumerating a USB device that has been plugged in. It will keep retrying. (Port 1 of Hub at 0x1a100000)

USBF: 5.496 [0xffffff800b578800] The IOUSBFamily was not able to enumerate a device.

-----

Nothing was plugged into any of the USB ports at all.

This is all running Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

Anybody out there have USB 3.0 working on a notebook similar to this ?

Thanks

ROM Writing tool for uPD720201/uPD720202

Before flashing proces check README.TXT

Ok, I will try this when I get home. My card is this:

http://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-External-Internal-Connector-EC04-P/dp/B009YDO05U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361377532&sr=8-1&keywords=usb+3.0+card+silverstone

The package says 720201 but I think it's 202.

Cheers!

EDIT:

It was 720201 after all.

The flashing process went smooth but the ID's remain the same 1912 0014. I did it a couple of times and no luck. I even tried to update the firmware via the official Silverstone tool (the vendor of my card) and it says it has the latest firmware.

I managed to enable my card using a modified universal driver I found here and modified one of the IDs from mine and it works but at USB 2.0 speed :'(

That's all for now.

EDIT AGAIN!

I've found the utility for windows. Needs an elevated command prompt (run as an administrator). Uses the same syntax as the DOS tool (WXXX.exe /srom 0 /writeall KXXXX.mem cfg.ini)

I suspect that the tool is not working (although it says it does) because it includes the firmware version 2.0.0.6. I already have 2.0.2.0. Maybe that's why it doesn't work properly.

Sonnet - Subsystem Vendor ID: 16B8 / Subsystem Device ID: 5701

But the Sonnet has a problem. It has no power connector. The hole for that plug is there but it is covered. :(
I'm simply trying to get a USB3 connection for my 17" MacBook Pro 2011. Not even an Hackintosh, but still very hard to get it to work :(

Did anyone try to flash this? Did it work without any 3rd party driver?
Thanks in advance.

[Update]
I try it last night, the AppleUSBXHCI.kext did loaded after reboot.
However, there are nothing show up in system information, so it's not work.
Besides, after reboot the display was broken, my monitor keep on and off.

Did anyone try Intel's IDs?
