Guys so I right now I'm running 10.11.6. If I make a backup with CCC, and then I install Sierra (when the new UniBeast and MultiBeast versions come out), will I be able to restore from the 10.11.6 backup and will that mess anything up?

Yes, you just need to make sure you created a bootable backup of your drive.

Well in CCC I chose the option to backup to a folder (on my external hdd formatted as hfs+), and CCC warned me that it may not be bootable (which is understandable since I backed up to a folder and not to root). Will it still work if I just want to restore my applications, docs. etc that I had in 10.11.6?

I have remove ALXEthernet from EFI and L/E and reinstal it again. Now works fine and i don't have KP.
Unfortunately I still do :(

Copied kexts to others, updated clover to 3761, started install from appstore, sellected Boot macOS Install, and after 1 hour i was in macos sierra only without sound. Even trim survived. Installed audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0b0.command for my alc1150 sound system and everything working as in el capitan.

Did not enable Without Caches in boot options.

So back at it again.

I've wiped my primary SSD to try and install clover just to get into my backup drive to copy over my my install of el capitan and get to work getting rid of some of those pesky Kexts sitting in L/E.

I've download the previous version of clover r3751, as suggested by

downloaded r3751 and that boots fine. Seems like there's a problem with r3761...beware.

and tried installing that to the wiped SSD drive. Nothing boots? Am I installing correctly. I thought it had to go into the EFI partition? But the installer doesn't seem to create one. Any ideas?

Update---

Strangely. Installing Clover r3412 via Multibeast works. I can get into the boot menu and load up my bootable backup.

What about the ATI cards on sierra ? I mean r7, r9 or rx series. Are they working with full acceleration ?

Both with PB7 and with GM my R9 280x was working with full acceleration (even better results than Yosemite and El Capitan in some benchmarks).

Now I'm doing a clean install in my spare SSD drive using a USB installer. The installation is being painfully slow, but I remember this happening as well with previous public betas.

Full report later... my two cents!

3770k GA-Z77-DS3H build appears ...?

It seems like you two guys had success with Z77-DS3H while, sadly, I did not.

So far some things work, including audio (after Toleda patch), however Wake from sleep does not work and if I try to install ALXethernet kext then it gives me "computer restarted because of the problem" and Kernel panic.

Not sure what to do now, I guess I will revert back to El Cap and check my options - if i won't find the cause of "wake form sleep" not working, perhaps it is time to build a new hack.
