Guide: Update Directly to macOS High Sierra (APFS)
I followed these steps to update from 12.6 Sierra
When the system reboots, it starts the update then suddenly says "File system verify or repair failed. Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again."
I only placed the FakeSMC kext in its designated folder and also placed apfs.efi where said in the guide.
I can't boot back into Sierra now and neither can I find my thumb drive with installation media.
I'm pretty noob at this, any help would definitely be appreciated.
