Thanks for the info.

Here I've found something about the DACP protocol: http://dacp.jsharkey.org

Is there someone who knows how to implement this in an iOS app?

MacTester
Full disclosure I have a Java background (but not coded for a few years), but don't know IOS.

theAndy94 statement about building a web application would be how I write it, because Java (including Andriod code) can be easily ported and a web application built to serve up a web interface, so would be something I could do, not sure of your experience.

If you wanted to go the java route (I did some digging) the following looked interesting. Lots of details, but more importantly ...

The bottom of this page has alot more links which you should explore. The one that looks more promising to you may be.

http://ytrack.dewasmes.net/
http://code.google.com/p/ytrack/

While this is an iPad (native app) it is open source and with some work, may be possible to run in the iTouch form factor

Hi MacTester,

Why don't you use Plex?

You can play your iTunes Library from Plex and there is an iOS Remote App that displays cover art.

Cheers

Damn, why haven't I thought of this.
I use Plex on a daily base for watching Films and listening to music.
This is definitly the best alternative to programming a own solution.

Thanks for all the praise and replies. Plex is not suitable for me, because it's not able to play alac 24/96 files.

Unfortunately, I have no idea of java programming - it's not a PLC...

No iOS programmer here???

Amazing build
Mind sharing a link where you bought the amp case you used? (The one that came from Shenzhen)
Thanks!

Sometimes and sometimes not. it's not reliable. (on my cube). You have to install the Windows driver first.
