Lost Audio with 10.15.5 Update > What Do I Do?

I lost audio with the update. I had moved all my kext files that I needed to the boot loader other area. I wonder if RealtekRTL8111.kext has an issue with this version and needs to be updated?

Hi there.

You should be using the Lilu.kext plugin AppleALC.kext to enable your audio, because you have an ALC1150 codec.

That RealtekRTL8111 is not your audio.

The only hurdle you have to negotiate is the Audio ID. Hopefully it will be easy enough, usually 1, 2 or 3.
