@miliuco pointed me to this useful little App, LocalSend, I guess it's like Airdrop without the 'middleman' because you don't need an internet connection and you can share between your devices on your local network. You can download the 21.8MB App from GitHub to the devices you want to share between, open the App and send via a simple, beautiful and intuitive interface.
From the app you can edit the name of your devices and send to, in this case ‘Craig’s Mac Pro’, or ‘Craig’s iMac’, both using Intel Wi-Fi/BT cards. It also works vice versa via the desktop app. Yep Intel Wi-Fi/BT and a cross platform, free open source alternative to Airdrop.

A great app, of course. I know it thanks to to a post of cyberdevs in IM. I like Airdrop very much but LocalSend replaces it very competently when using Intel wifi / BT.
And you can rename devices :)
