I tried both HDMI an VGA to no avail. nothing showed up.

I was hoping it was the same problem 4530s users had. Shoot. I'm no expert. I hate to say, but I'm not sure. Rboot LE doesn't work?

it does work. it shows 1024x768.

could i send you my dsdt to see if patching that would help? i have tried it out on my own but i may be patching it incorrectly

Yeah you can send. No guarantees though on how helpful I can be.

Also, please include whether you need a DSDT dual link patch (or if you don't know, what your resolution is)

I'd like to have a clean DSDT please, so delete yours, reboot, then extract one.

Right. This is the DSDT with all patches that I think are needed for basic fixes.

Note you may need to increase brightness. Its either fn and pause or fn and break.


edit- may want to remove serial from site.

you don't need this...just apply F7 F8 keys in system settings...but you can change brightness only if SNB FB is loaded and "blank screen"...and you must add some DSDT code if it's not there already...
