Which keys are you referring to?

If I don't turn on keyboard backlight from windows and then go back to macos I will not be able to get them work /they just don't switch on or off on macos/

No numlock on Macs, so this is not surprising. Software such as Karabiner might be able to help you there.

okay I will try.

But the future is I2C. Your trackpad can probably operate in I2C mode. See link in FAQ.

I hope so!

Instrument your EC query methods with ACPIDebug.kext so you can see which ones correspond to the key(s) that control the keyboard backlight.
It might give you clues on code to focus on in DSDT.

Okay! but before I begin here can you explain how to check if I have an I2C trackpad ?

Look in Windows Device Manager.

You will need to show an image.
You mean like this ?
HID-Compliant-mouse is my external mouse.

It probably is PS2...

You should look further into "Details".
Also, perhaps you should check BIOS to see if there is an option PS2 vs. I2C.
Or if there are optional/updated drivers that kick it into I2C.

Rehabman, nothing in system.log when I press keys!?

Applied DSDT debug methods
EC queries
the patch in ACPI keyboard github
and added ACPIDebug, ACPIKeyboard to /L/E
