MacMan has the IOGear BT dongle, and it works OK for him. However, one note, it only works with Mountain Lion since it's a BT 4.0. Unfortunately, I can't add or help you any more than that as my Targus BT dongles work just fine.

I do have MT as stated from the beginning of this thread. I checked all settings and everything seems in order. I suspect the USB and/or the fact that the bluetooth KB/mouse go sleep to preserve battery has something to do with this. But i could be wrong.

The issue does not happen every time though, but quite many, perhaps 75% of the times.

With my Targus, I click the mouse button several times and need to wait for about 10 seconds for everything to wake up before I can use it. Sometimes, I have to click the KB Spacebar to wake it up if my mouse isn't waking up. One or two times, I've had to turn off and on the Magic Mouse then click it a couple of times before the system wakes up. This is part of the thrill of owning a hackintosh. :D

OK then thats similar story. Sometimes I have to turn off/on again the mouse or reconnect, etc. But sometimes no matter what I do it wouldnt "revive". Other times, however, both KB and mouse would work just fine.

I guess i can live with this bluetooth dongle knowing we're hacintoshing!

The short time it takes to wake up a system is not hateful, IMHO. I usually come to the sleeping computer with a beverage. So, before I sit down, I click the mouse or keyboard. Then, sit down and have a slip of whatever I'm having at that time of day and await the computer to wake-up. It's actually pretty quick, and not that much different my Macs.

I have this same issue. Sometimes after wake-up from sleep the mouse/keyboard would not work. I use both bluetooth KB and mouse via the dongle you have. I hope someone here would help us.

It is even worse in my setting.
darkwake=10 was the solution for auto sleep,
But the (Apple USB) keyborad is dead after wle up - funny becaus I triggered the wake up with it.
And the mouse (Logitech M705 with USB dongle) needs about 30s to work properly - in the meantime it works for 2s and stops working for 1s alternating.
The hackintosh is set as iMac 12,2

I was not able to find a solution for this.

Why are you using a System Definition = iMac12,1? I ask not to be snotty, but just out of curiosity. I'm using a MacMin5,1 on my Z77-DS3H / HD4000, and I don't have problems.

I kind of (i hope) found a solution for my problem. I just have to wake the system up by pressing the power button instead of using any mouse click or keyboard press. I notice that this has been working for me with both KB and mouse eventually wake up after a few seconds.

hi all, if i wanted to upgrade with a ssd, what is the strategy/steps to achieve this?
