Hi there,

I'm a first time hackintosher and trying to install Mac OS Mojave on my prebuilt Asus ROG G20AJ.

When I boot the installer from USB, it begins to load then I get the prohibited sign and a garbled screen.

If anyone has installed Mac OS on this machine then I would be delighted if you could assist me.

Thanks

There are no Mojave drivers for your GTX 750.

  • Your described booting problem is from USB port failure.
  • You should Boot in Verbose Mode and upload Verbose Boot screen image to the Forum to get good help
    • For Tips to solve current issue -> #6
  • Your Nvidia GTX 750 will not give you full acceleration in Mojave and it has no Nvidia Web driver support to get full Graphics acceleration.
    • However your CPU Intel i7-4790 associated Intel HD 4600 should work with a FakeID : 0x04128086 and Ig-Platform-ID:0x0D220003 with full QuartsExtreme/CoreImage

Here is the screenshot of it in verbose mode with the graphics card removed. Also the keyboard and mouse lose power when this happens.

If this happened with reboot ( 2-3 times in a row), you need to upload your CLOVER from the hidden EFI Partition along with your BIOS options chosen for this boot .
For uploading CLOVER, check the bulleted steps-> #4

Okay, so I tried using UniBeast to boot and I got further but ended up with this display, the display is very garbled but I managed to find the last string which is 'waiting for root device'.

I've also attached the EFI folder from UniBeast.

At Clover Boot Screen select Options > PCI devices > USB Ownership and USB Injection.
May require USBInjectAll.kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/.
May require XHCI-unsupported.kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/. (Click Download repository).
May require a USB Port Limit patch.

Unfortunately, after trying all of this, I’m still getting the same issues.

So unless someone knows what I’m doing wrong then I’m thinking of selling up, so if you know any good builds as a Hackintosh under 450, please let me know.

  • Only way to get a good response in a Forum for the first part of your current thread, is for you to provide all the information as if the readers of your post are actually seeing what is displayed on your Monitor(Verbose Boot Screen upload to the Forum) and the BIOS options used to boot the USB Installer (BIOS Screen shots) and the current CLOVER it holds to boot the disk (upload of CLOVER.zip) working with the chosen BIOS options.

Right okay, sorry about the last post, I should’ve read the rules before posting.

Again, after trying what you said in your last post, it is still not working, attached is the result and my BIOS settings.

If you want anything else from me, then let me know.
