installing a hdd later?

So I plan on using an 840EVO for my boot drive and right now I dont have the money for a HDD.

My question is, if I get 10.9 running and everything on my ssd, later on would I just be able to throw in an hdd and it will show up like another drive? or will I have to re-install everything?

You can add a HDD at a later date for data without problem.
