Hi, I'm trying to install Snow Leopard 10.6.3 using the latest version of iBoot and am stuck right before the installation actually starts. I have enabled AHCI mode and unplugged my windows hard drive. I don't know if this makes a difference, but the drive I am trying to install onto is a blank 320gb drive formatted in NTFS. My verbose installation hangs at this line:

ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out
Still waiting for root device
Still waiting for root device

Is there a specific boot flag I have to use? Did I do something wrong with hardware configuration? Thanks.

No telling what the problem is without info you didn't give. Finish filling out your profile:
Zotac mainboard - great, what model?
CPU Intel - fine, Core i3, i5, i7 or one of the gxxx Pentiums?
GPU nVidia - again, fine, but what card? It makes a big difference.

Once you update the information that going bald asked for ( helps all of us you know)

You may want to try this line of start up switches:
-x -v acpi=off PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No

if your CPU is a Sandy Bridge unit you will need to use a slightly different install procedure.

But we cant tell you about that cause we need to know information on what your building this hack with.
;)

Okay, after much digging I was finally able to come up with these specifications:
This is the motherboard I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813500005
My graphics card actually was not an nVidia, sorry for being such a noob. It is an ATI Radeon HD 4350.
CPUID says my processor is an Intel Celeron E1500

As your components are a bit old - do follow the TonyMacx86 Guide - you also may need to use the iBoot LEGACY 2.7.2 - CD this may work better.

You may also want to try the iBoot 3.3 if you have issues w LEGACY.

I would suggest that you upgrade the CPU later - W this CPU you will have issues w going to Mountain Lion As Apple support for this CPU is limited to only LION.

So do follow the guide - iBoot and Multibeast - TonyMacx86 guide
http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/iboot-multibeast-install-mac-os-x-on.html

And I do use this term but we have all been their at least once including me - For Noobs
