So it seems my Premiere Pro CC2018 (CC2019 same issue) system freeze hasn't been fixed in 10.14.3. Thought it was Metal/OpenCL related and Apple would fix it.

Thanks! I don’t do pro editing anymore (did that for 10 years) so I’m mostly doing design work and Premiere comes in handy here and there.

This kernel panic has been happening for a long time and even with Software Only.

I was in touch with Apple and they said they can’t replicate it because people with iMac Pro’s are having issues as well (there’s a huge thread about it)

I wonder if it’s 100% Vega related...

This kernel panic happens while editing in Metal or OpenCL and encoding to H264 (Hardware and Software options).

Does it happen every time you export h264 from premiere? I have no such issue on either of my x299 systems (both have the same specs as my profile) One is on 10.14.1 and the other is on 10.14.2.

I don't think I have ever seen Thunderbolt networking (so TB <-> TB) working on a hack. Does this work at all for anyone?

I've raised this question and similar multiple times, I've only found scant reports of it randomly working back in the Z79 days on TH2.

It seems Thunderbolt Networking a feature that most of this community does not know/care about. Would love to hear from anyone who has it working.

Now it shows the TB3 in the PCI. But still there is no thunderbolt bridge in the ethernet cards and without it I cannot connect to the NAS.

Network only shows the LAN and 10G Lan connections.

AFAIK Thunderbolt Networking does not exist in any form in this or related communities. I was recently looking to purchase a similar NAS and started finding out the TH Networking is impossible without further breakthroughs. I switched from a QNAP NAS to building a custom NAS with FreeNAS and outfitting it with a quad 10gbe card and my clients with dual 10gbe cards. Rock solid and works on hacks just fine.

The only thing different about your build is the processor and you are on Deluxe 2. I use premiere daily with clients in the room on my main station and my other x299 system is used by our editor who works full time on premiere with no crashes. Same Vega FE in both systems.

Like I said in a previous post, AVX was our big issue for a long time, but setting the offset to 6 for AVX and AVX512 to 2 solved our KPs.

Do you have a fully implemented @kgp approved SSDT adoption for all your PCI devices?

Only using Lilu and WG for Vega. Not using any SSDTs.

Premiere is the only one that acts up.

All other adobe suite apps are fine.

I have tried 3/2, 5/3 for AVX offset. Will try 6/2.
