I got the error that I couldn't log in to iCloud and I didn't set it up yet.

Following this thread, the following allowed me to make it work:

- Change /Extra/smbios.plist 845123 to something between 750xxx to 905xxx.
- Added the following to com.apple.Boot.plist
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>

iCloud up and running. Thanks for the help!

Am I the only one who cant get it working and now am waiting for some magical update? :(

No, you are not the only one. I am stuck in Snow Leopard until there is a fix for iCloud & App Store. :thumbdown: I've tried all recommended fixes, but none worked for me.

1st. Make sure the following string is in you org.chameleon.Boot.plist

  • <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
    <string>Yes</string>

2nd. Open System Preferences -> Network and delete the Adapter

3rd. Run Finder and navigate to /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and delete the marked files.

Any difference if using Apple Wireless wifi?

Make sure your Apple Wireless wifi becomes en0. To do so, follow all the steps i decribed above (but delete all Adapters in System Preferences -> Network, not just the wired Adapter), then reboot and jump into your Bios. Set Onboard Lan to Disabled, press F10 to safe settings and boot into OSX. Your Apple Wireless wifi now should be en0.

Ok, I've got a question that I haven't found an answer to yet.

Is there a limit to how many devices or computers that can sign into iCloud? I'm only interested in iCal and Address Book. I understand that to play iTunes authorized content is limited to 5 devices. Apparently "iTunes in the Cloud" is limited to 10 devices.

I have no intentions in syncing my media on my Hack with my iphone/ipod. Really just interested in updating my calendar or address book from my Hack.

If you re-format and reinstall OSX with all the same components, then would your computer been seen as a new device on iCloud? What if you switch to a different system profile (say MacMini 5,1 ---> MacPro 5,1)?

What if none of these things worked? I've spent several hours today chasing down a solution here and none of these have worked.

Any other crazy ideas? App Store, iTunes Match, iTunes Genius... none of them work. Oddly, the iTunes Music Store let me buy a song.

I'm on 10.7.2... system config is in the sig.

Thanks.

Timothy

Still nothing! As I said... I've tried all of the items listed in the original post, including multiple different SNs. Any other ideas?

Here's my smbios.plist:

</dict>
</plist>

Here's my org.Chameleon.Boot.plist file:

My NetworkInterfaces.plist file only lists my built-in network interfaces. I connect using a USB Wireless adapter. Could that be the issue?

Any thoughts?
