Hello,

My build:
Intel i5
Msi Z87-G45 motherboard
Msi twin froze graphics card
8 Gb corsair ram
500 gb hard drive

I'm trying to build a hackintosh. But when I boot snowleopard it just freezes on the Apple logo. When I do it with - x it just runs and then gives me a black screen that doesn't leave.

which i5?
Which twin frozer GPU?

iBoot will not worrk - with Z87 need to use iBoot Haswell.

The processor is: i5-4670 CPU @ 3.40GHz

and the Geforce GTX 770 Twin frozr gaming

Ill try with iboot hashwell.

Thank you!

download the update on the computer you are using now, copy it to a USB and transfer it to new install desktop and run it. Reboot. Forget MultiBeast with SL on Haswell hardware - does no good since the SL kernel has no Haswell chip support.

You need to get the lan working to download Mavericks.

TheTij....

Also once you have installed SL from the DVD you will need to update to 10.6.8 and also install Apple Software updater for Snow Leo...
Use these links to download to usb then copy to desktop and install.
You will need to reboot after the Combo update and use the -f startup switch.

I would read though these links for some ideas

Also do a search on your hardware for install tips on your motherboard. ( COMMAND Line switch's)

Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1

Apple Software Installer Update required for all 10.6.8 users per Apple's own words.
